Birmingham Half Marathon 2014
Birmingham Half Marathon 2014
On 19th October, one of the Holding Out Hope trustees, Kez, ran the Birmingham Half Marathon with her dad, Jeremy and friend, Olivia Murphy. It was the first running event that Jeremy had ever done and the second time that Kez and Liv had ran the Birmingham Half together. After lots of training both together and separately and motivational talks, the big day arrived and we had glorious weather! The sun was really shining as we all managed to cross the finish line with personal bests. The huge crowds were so encouraging and it was a really great day full of hard work, smiles and achievements. We want to say a big thank you to all the generous people who donated and helped us reach and surpass our £1000 fundraising target! All the money will go towards helping Holding Out Hope’s work with institutionalised children and adults in Eastern Europe.
